I have started working out and it feels really good. I have had 4 kids in the past five years and have gained a considerable amount of weight in that time…I was 60 lbs heavier than when I first got pregnant! I noticed that after working out for 2 weeks, I didn’t look any better but I felt great just knowing that I was doing something about this body that I was hating.
It’s been about a month now and I have lost about 9 lbs. Sometimes it feels discouraging to think that it takes a while to get the weight off but people always seem to remind me that it took a while to put it on. And with that in mind, I realize that it is coming off faster than I put it on.
I have adjusted to eating better carbs now. I also got interested in the Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet. I never got around to trying it but it always seems to be a diet I could live with to really lose weight.
Another thing I am pushing these days is “hemp hearts”. Wow!! Do they ever make a difference in the desire to eat and the cravings. When you eat them it’s like you have a sense a satiety that lasts all day and because of this you rarely feel the need to binge on the wrong foods. Check them out at www.healing-source.com.
Lastly, I have also been drinking a tonne of water. I drink AT LEAST 9 glasses a day, but usually more like 12 or so. I like it. My last trip to the dentist my hygienist said that my teeth were pretty clean, without flossing. I attribute this to the excessive water intake. I always hear that drinking water is great for weight loss but I am mainly doing it for nursing! Anyway, stay committed!
